Full-stack developer & AI builder with a background in construction. I build tools that solve real problems. Not demos, not prototypes. Things that work because they have to.
I'm Jack Emery, an independent developer with over 300 projects under my belt spanning more than a decade of solo building. From AI multi-agent systems to full SaaS platforms, Chrome extensions to browser automation engines, I've built across virtually every layer of the stack. I've done it alone, fast, and without a safety net.
My background isn't traditional. Before software, I owned and operated three residential construction companies across New Hampshire and Florida. I came up identifying gaps nobody else was filling and building the tools to fill them. First with crews and blueprints, then with code.
I'm currently a free agent actively looking for a full-time role with a company whose vision I can get behind. I'm also available for contract and freelance work. If you've got a problem and need it solved, I'm your guy.
I didn't start in software. I ran construction companies, managed crews, coordinated subcontractors, and kept $2-3M projects moving simultaneously. That taught me how to identify what's broken, make fast decisions with incomplete information, and build things that have to work because people are counting on them. That's still how I build software.
"The skills transfer more than people think. Running a job site and shipping software both require the same thing — knowing what actually matters, cutting what doesn't, and getting it done."
Whether you need a full product built or a single problem solved, here's where I can add immediate value.

Contractor-grade autonomous browser agent with stateful form-filling, vision-verified clicks, checkpoint/resume logic, and a dual-mode LLM system that auto-detects local (Ollama/DeepSeek) vs. cloud (Anthropic/OpenAI/Gemini) providers. Features a heartbeat monitor, grammar-sanitizer skill, Lobster workflow engine, and a single idempotent PowerShell build script synthesized from critique of 6 competing LLM outputs.
Self-contained browser automation agent built on OpenClaw, running in a Crostini/Linux environment on ChromeOS. One workflow that's clunky. One task your team does manually that shouldn't be. One system that almost works but not quite.
Tell me about it and I'll come back to you personally with two or three concrete ways I can help. Maybe it's a one-time fix. Maybe it's something I build and hand off to you. Maybe you realize you want someone like me around full time. Whatever the case, we start with your problem and go from there.
The door's open. No pitch, no pressure.
